Mac Os For Macbook Pro Mid 2010

I simply want the fastest and most stable system for this particular model. Don't need iCloud, don't need anything else that comes on any particular version. As long as I can install MS Word, Dropbox, Evernote, Endnote x7 and access the Internet (with all necessary plugins for browsing today) I'm fine.

Here's my suggestion (and I have personally done this for a friend and they couldn't be happier) based on the fact you have a pretty good machine in your possession. First, upgrade your RAM. I'm suspecting you are seeing some performance slowdown if you are running out of memory. Open up Activity Monitor and leave it open as you go about your day. If memory utilization is close to or at the top of its limit, chances are you are sending the overflow memory requests to the hard disk (swap).

Apple first previewed macOS Mojave (10.14) on June 4, 2018. It was released as a 'public beta' starting on June 26, 2018 and shipped as a finished product on September 24, 2018. Photo Credit: Apple, Inc.

Software won't work. I don't know, it's just all a big pain in the ass and feels unstable. Should I just suck it up and go back to Snow Leopard, or is Mountain Lion worth considering? I know it has Messages, which is a huge bonus, but will be as stable and smooth as Snow Leopard was on this model of the Macbook Pro? Thanks in advance.

I agree that an SSD would be a good upgrade and yes you will see a difference with the SSD as opposed to the 5400rpm that probably came installed on the system. Depending on your upgrade budget you could go with a Samsung EVO or Samsung Pro SSD (I have one of those in my late 2011 MacBook Pro). That model will support an SSD (it has a Serial ATA (3 Gb/s) connection) and up to 16GB of RAM.

If you want to install OSX on it, this is what I've done (without a USB or bootable drive). First, if you're replacing the hard drive with the SSD (for example), then you just need to plug in the harddrive you replaced and boot it up via USB. Format the new hard drive you installed as a Mac OS Journal (eg: a drive that Mac understands it can install an OS on). Then, restart the computer, press CMD+OPT+R to start up the internet recovery off of the USB-attached hard drive, which will allow you to install a copy of Lion or Mavericks or Yosemite (depends on what was on your old hard drive) to the new one within the computer. So far, It's installing and it seems to be doing amazingly well.

After the repairs were done my laptop booted up perfectly on the first try and it’s running like new again. Best setting for wow on new i mac 2015. Great guide and I hope this comment helps anybody having the same issues as I was.

Apple defines vintage products as those that have not been manufactured for more than five but less than seven years. The new additions come less than three months after Apple, including the iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2009), iMac (27-inch, Late 2009), MacBook Air (Mid 2009), Mac Pro (Early 2009), MacBook (13-inch, Early 2008), MacBook Pro (15-inch, Early 2008), and MacBook Pro (17-inch, Early 2008). The MacBook Pro models obsoleted today were on April 13, 2010.

As such, the name 'Mac Pro' was widely used before the machine was announced. The Mac Pro is in the workstation market. Although the high-end technical market has not traditionally been an area of strength for Apple, the company has been positioning itself as a leader in for, which demands storage and memory far in excess of a general desktop machine. Additionally, the used in these applications are generally and highly, which Apple's ProRes white paper describes as scaling almost linearly with additional.

The laptop does not come with any charger. I am selling the laptop only. It does work properly and I did do a factory reset. The screen of the laptop does not stay in place and it ends up going flat like in the picture. Screen still works fine though. This laptop passed all initial tests.

I have a mac-book pro mid 2010, the original mac o.s is version 10.6.3 snow leopard the hard disk crashed, so i decided to buy another disk, 160gig Sata i downloaded mac o.s version 10.7.4, and decided to fresh install from a dvd, but durint installation, on disk options, it can't be partition, the command button for partitioning is locked, even in the erase menu bar at mac installation window, and I can't reinstall from version 10.7.4 I've read that when the mac is a mac-book pro on mid 2010, it should used the default mac o.s version. I'd like to hear some experts here about mac installations, thanks. Oh, I'm sorry, it's 13inch I think, but I'll try to view that page, and, please, I know how to erase, partition drives in mac, but the only thing I asked why I the command buttons of erase is locked, is it because that mac-book pro mid 2010 does not support version 10.7.4?
